Terms and Conditions - Rob Teaches CS

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of tutoring services by Rob, offering Computer Science tutoring in the United Kingdom. By booking a session, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services Provided
Tutoring is offered in Computer Science subjects, including but not limited to programming, algorithms, data structures, computer systems, and exam preparation (e.g. GCSE, A-Level, university level). Sessions are available online (via Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).

3. Booking and Payment

  • Sessions must be booked in advance via  an agreed booking platform.

  • Payment is required in advance, via the website payment options or payment link.

  • Current hourly rate: dependent on tutoring level. Discounts may apply for block bookings.

  • All prices are in GBP and inclusive of any applicable taxes.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance will not incur a charge.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full at the tutor’s discretion.

  • If the tutor cancels a session, a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.

5. Lateness

  • Clients arriving late are not entitled to extra time beyond the scheduled session.

  • If the tutor is late, the missed time will be made up or deducted from the session fee.

6. Conduct and Expectations

  • Clients are expected to behave respectfully and come prepared with relevant materials.

  • The tutor reserves the right to terminate a session early without refund if a client behaves inappropriately.

  • The tutoring service is supplementary and does not guarantee specific academic results.

7. Parental Supervision (if applicable)

  • For students under 18, a parent or guardian must provide consent and attend the consultation meeting before tutoring starts.

8. Intellectual Property

  • All lesson materials, unless otherwise agreed, are the intellectual property of the tutor and may not be distributed or resold.

9. Data Protection and Privacy

  • Client data will be handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Personal information will only be used to provide and manage the tutoring service.

  • Online sessions may be recorded for quality and review purposes with prior consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • The tutor accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of tutoring services, except in cases of gross negligence or misconduct.

11. Changes to Terms

  • These Terms may be updated periodically. Clients will be notified of material changes prior to future sessions.

12. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
